This seat has now been sold and my apologies to everyone who missed out.

I have a new 2017 style comfort seat for sale. It's in it's original box and has only been used for display on a special bike we built. It is for the new model but will fit all MT09, I know because we've tried it. The retail is £239 but it's for sale at £130 including UK postage.

I suppose it's all down to personal taste but I just don't see the need to fit one

My 2015 SR has had a noisy clutch in neutral since the day I bought it new and 10,000 miles later it's still the same, no better and no worse. You'll soon learn to ignore it so don't let it worry you, it ain't going to break.

Forget all about screens they just cause turbulence and look naff, it's a naked bike so just enjoy it for what it is.

I have a 2015 ABS model as well and the mapping is fine and acceleration is smooth unlike the 13 plate MT I had before it which was way to snatchy on the throttle and needed a G2 throttle tamer to calm it down.

If anyone is going to buy a Sargent seat for their MT09 then save yourself some money and message me first, I have a new one (black with black piping) that's never been on a bike and it'll be a lot cheaper especially if you can collect it or I'll post it if you pay the carriage.

Get to climb all over one today and I quite like the styling but what were they thinking with that radiator. Would I buy one...No I'll stick with my 09

They couldn't get rid of them and then someone with an MT09 tried one and posted the results and we all bought one and suddenly they're on back order, just shows the power of these forums :-)
