Also looking to replace the exhaust, nearly 2k on the tracer now and decided it is way to quite but also don't really want to spend best part of a grand on a exhaust on a eight grand bike, the figures don't add up to justify the cost really. Seen a you tube vid with a ixil system on a tracer but...
Both sound like a couple of real good trips, not quite as impromptu but leaving the north east on Wednesday, heading in the general direction of the west coast of Scotland, no accommodation or anything booked or any real route planned, just going to see where the road leads and return home for...
I also found it a little harsh, doesn't help the on/off throttle going round bumpy roundabouts at low revs when your bouncing around trying to balance the throttle. I backed off the preload on both the front and rear and also slowed down the rebound a touch. Hasn't had any negative affect on...
Fitted a sw-motech sat nav carrier to the bars and thats it up too now. Been looking at levers, reeseyboy just out of interest which levers did you go with?
I also found the ride a bit on the harsh side, I turned the rear preload back one so a little softer and slowed the rebound down a touch on the front, didn't touch the rear rebound as didn't want to make too many changes at one time but it is a lot smoother. Still needs a little more fiddling...
Thanks for the tips, I have already adjusted the throttle free play as there was way too much from day one, was also going to ask about the mapping to check if it's running the latest edition, to be honest the throttle is no worse than other fuel injection bikes I have ridden, a little on/off at...
Hi, I live in Durham now but I was born and grew up in gateshead originally, I have a tracer so can't comment on the naked 09 but if it's anything like mine you will love it.
I bought mine from David Sykes in horden just outside of peterlee, the only other dealer apart from Bells in the area, again like Bells I can also say I have had great service, just a couple of little things on the bike..
Need to get the suspension dialled in correctly but letting it get to the...
Cheers guys, trying to get the first service done before the Easter holidays as planning a trip of 3 or 4 up to the west coast of Scotland so shes getting out whenever the weather is half decent at the min. Spent more time washing it and then covering it with acf 50 :)
Hiya folks, just a line to say hello from Durham, picked up the new Tracer on the March 1st and loving it so far, still running her in so taking it easy. Up to around 400 miles now so shes getting there.
