I watched the video and then stripped mine down and cleaned it out so there was no trace of WD 40 (which is what I'd used in the past) and got rid of all the grease that was in there.
Job done and problem solved!

Tried WD40 and ACF 50 and no difference. Think its basically a design fault. Mine was replaced under warranty about 3 1/2 years ago and problem was same with replacement.
Managed to live with it but its still a bit annoying...
Got used to it now. It did irk me when I bought my bike from new and had it replaced just to find the replacement was virtually the same.
Apart from that all well with the bike!
Anyone got any thoughts on HPS Naked Vario Touring Screen?
Not the best of looking things but does it do the job for a reasonably long distance motorway ride on an MT 09...and help the neck muscles!

100% agreed. Got mine back last week and have to say it's the best £240 I've spent-like riding a completely different bike.
Only regret not having it done a couple of years ago!
