Hi
Mine was a pig to start when it was hot. Had to hold throttle open so it caught, run it for 10 secs at 1.5k rpm and then hope that when released it would settle down. Put her in for a 12k service, they said there were error messages on the throttle sensor, had it all balanced and hey...
Hi
Mines doing the same, hardly ever shows 1st gear, sometimes does it on 3rd and now 6th. Fortunately she's still in warranty so when she's in for her 12k service I'll get them to sort it.
Had this happen to me, something to do with the ignition key not being in 100%....easiest solution for me is to always park the bike with the steering lock on, as if the keys not 100% in you won't get the steering lock off!
Regards
Mat
There was a discussion on here somewhere about the Street triple and the mt09, the general consensus is that the engine in the mt09 is a beauty, but its let down by its suspension..... but theres plenty of people who've upgraded it and says its amazing!
Have a play and tell us what you think...
I think black, as it then looks like part of the frame.
I've got the same matt grey, I just think it'd look stupid having it that colour, but that's just me
Has anyone else lost the little plastic frame protector from under the seat? only held on with sticky pads!
Yamaha - what a stupid friggin design
I use mine every day to get in and out of work. usually manage 4 days between full ups, so works out about 46mpg!
only been on 1 longish run and she did 55mpg...so that's about 180miles plus on a tank..... used to get over 200 on the tdm!
Had a play with mine today, as expected they were all set to 0. so changed them all to 6 seeing as its a standard bike. Has anyone out them higher, I see that a few people have them at 14, but are these running non standard exhausts?
Obviously, this is only till I get the Abs remap and...
I think when the abs ECU is ready for reflashing that you and Simon are going to busy. I'm definitely interested, but i'll wait till I've got the termignnoni system first.
Get over it Yamaha, its not a perfect bike, however WE ALL STILL BOUGHT IT, and that's something you realise. We all have different riding styles, different needs, etc...... so we will all modify them differently.
Be thankful, that we all parted with OUR cash for YOUR bike and not someone...
Hey yamahayzr500, did it make much difference changing the angle? I'm thinking about trying it as the windblast on the helmet is a bit much and i'm not going that far over 70.....granted before anyone says it could be the helmet, i'll try the new one out this weekend!

Mine was the same, apparently that's how they're supposed to be.
Just gone over 220 miles, most inner city riding though ?, and I love it.... even in B-aby mode lol
