What do you guys mean by "15 plate bike" or " my 63 plate and they will be on the 65 plates" ?? What plates do you mean??

Registration plates bud i.e
15 plate will be March 2015
65 plate will be September 2015 and so on

I looked at the 65's in my mates dealership yesterday. Couldn't find any but all the 15 plates and older had them

In Poland registration plates are issued with different rules so I couldn't know.
But is the age identifier on uk plates the best way to describe bike production. Does it match the bike production date ?? Because in Poland they sell 2015 described bikes wich were produced in 2014 and 2015 also. Mine is for sure 2015 because my friend is working in a dealership and she was ordering a bike for me especially with causion about production year.
