Yes, found the thread. Thats very good numbers, almost to good. I thought the FZ07 had the best fuelconsumption of the 2 bikes.
Taking an average of those who has posted their numbers gives 56,8 mpg. thats 272 miles or 436 km on a tank.
I get it they just read the numbers on the panel and not doing the math themselves, Count the gallons in and compare it to miles driven.
Then it can be some percentage wrong. But still very good. :)
These days we count the litres in, that's why I suggested comparing miles to the litre.
If you want an economical bike that is a wolf in sheep's clothing the new SV650 is reckoned to do 73mph.
A friend led a ride to Switzerland this year on a 650s and he really took some hanging on to in the twisties.
I had a K2 curvey and loved it.

For what it's worth and for a better comparison of fuel consumption (as different riders in different areas are likely to ride differently to each other) I have both an MT-07 and an MT-09 and I reckon that the MT-07 returns about 10mpg (approx 2 miles per liter?) more than the MT-09.- so about 30 more miles of tank range, if that's important.

I have decided to buy the Tracer. Been dealing with my local dealer about a new (old) 2015. 9570 euro.
Or a used 2015 one (private market) that has 4500 km´s on the Clock, equipped with the expensive Accra from Yamaha and the soft side bags for 8064 euro.
I Think I will go for the used one.

Ride safe & enjoy it !
Thanks, I will do that about 3 months ahead.
Have not ridden it yet and wont do that until early spring. Something to look forward too, life gets so much brighter.
I have been thinking of mods to do, have 24 things on a list to do with it. Don´t know if all will be done but a lot of them will.
Will check them off here as they are ready and fill in with some pics too.

* Acrapovic system, check
* Lowered 15 mm, check
* Rim stripes, check
* Passenger pegs off, check
* Handguards off, check
* Homemade tail tidy bracket, check

Do you know if the powersupply Yamaha provided gives power when the ignition is shut off?

Thanks.

Test mounted the home made bracket and it all fitted. I like it much better this way. :)

Sorry for not posting, been busy.
I like the handling of the Tracer and got used to the little different
standing up position so all is to the better. I have done about 20 mods
to the bike. Here are some of them. Have fun. :)

Part 1.

Homemade tailtidy with the original parts used.

Installed rimstripes.

Accra full titanium system and ECUunleashed.

Homemade birdpin and lockable GPS holder.

Got rid of the handprotection stuff and installed coloured grips.

Installed the Mazda oilplug.

Mushrooms.

Made a luggage holder.

Found some foot pegs on EBay.

Part 2

Home made cooler protection, the net is changeable. Like it red at the moment.

Ahh, the screens. Wanted a dark wide and small screen. So a Puig Touring screen was
purchased and slaughtered.

I cut it down to the size I wanted.

Next up. Wanted a bigger and wider screen for Touring than anyone could provide.
Got this for free. I took it from a Suzuki Burgman scooter that had been involved
in a crash and been left outside for many years. It had broken mounting points,
had multiple scratches and you could not look through it. I started measuring
to cut it.

It turned out pretty nice. Not yet been out riding checking wind turbulence with it.
Sorry for the morning sun, it makes the pic go foggy.

Wanted a tankbag so bought the little Givi one.

Was thinking a lot about tank protection. I choose the Bagster.

Full pic somewhere in the middle of the mods.
