injection system balancing

does the MT09 need this done ?

my Street Triple did during servicing, well it was checked and adjusted if needs be, which it did need as it was "miles out" according to the technician at Fowlers and it must have cos the bike felt much smoother when I got it back.

Do you mean the throttle bodies/plates? Yes they do from time to time. The fuel injectors can checked for balance too. They should all flow the same, or close to the same amount.

thanks Colin, just wondered as the dealer who did the last service didn't plug the bike in to run a diagnostic, all he did under the seat was cover everything in grease, now I know where "grease monkey" comes from :/

You wouldn't use the diagnostic box to balance throttle bodies, you'd use vac gauges, I have done it on my MT.

Yea after my 600 miler it was quite a bit smoother so hope it wont need doing for a while!!

It's part of the service schedule, so they should get balanced every 6,000 miles
