Did anyone order the optional pannier set withn their bike?
I put an order in for them on the same day I ordered the bike.
The bike arrived but was told the panniers were delayed.
I've had the bike over a month now and still no sign of the panniers. Dealer tells me no-one has got them yet.

Is he feeding me a big steaming bowl of BS?

Mine are on a shelf in my garage, along with the fitting kit

As I registered my Tracer before the and of March I got the panniers and mounting bracket kit thrown in or free.
After a bit of pestering I found out mine won't be here until 1st June.....ish!

Looks like there is a bit of a back log.

I feel your pain. Picked up my Tracer yesterday that I had ordered in Februrary and despite having been told that the panniers were delayed until May, they had arrived. The dealer was acting like he wanted a medal or something, despite other options I'd ordered being delayed until June.

I wouldn't get too excited about the panniers though, they're a very loose fit on the bike and can't take a full-face helmet so are not especially useful. I've ordered a Givi top box mounting kit but along with everything else for this bike, it's all on back order...

You shouldn't have to wait too long. Mine took a day short of two weeks to arrive from ordering.

I got a call from my friendly dealer on Thursday saying they finally had one set in.

Went straight down Friday and got them as we are going away this Friday and had so far only managed to get a Givi 15l tank bag. Never had hard luggage before so my expectations may be a bit lower than some people.

Good points:
Look a lot better and seem more rugged than I expected
Zip padlocks included
Inner waterproof bags included
Nice and light
Don't affect the bike at all on a windy test ride Saturday
Frames also removable with a lockable 1/4 turn knob and one detent pin.
Easy to remove even with gloves on.

Not so good:
Obviously won't take a helmet
Mounting instructions a little bit confusing but still went on in just over and hour and a half including threadlocking everything.
Not waterproof without the bags which take up space and make it difficult to pack
Although well thought out there's no denying they are EXPENSIVE.

Hope that all helps somebody...

Short term solution

Got my bike mid March, still waiting for my panniers, the has had a couple of sets in from earlier sales, said mine should be next couple of weeks
I have been told now, that I am unlikely to see my panniers before the end of May, and after my first mini tour (4 days), However I have come up with a short term solution to the problem. My using the the rear footpegs from my standard 09, I can fit the throwover panniers I bought for it. They actually seem to fit better on the Tracer than on the normal MT, and don't look to bad.

Had mine fitted the other day, have to say that I'm singularly not impressed, difficult to mount, flimsy, not waterproof, they do look good though but the givi v35 is far better IMHO, and I have a set in the loft, does anyone fancy buying the Yamaha ones from me?

Mine came last week and I fitted them myself.
I think they are a doddle to fit and take off. The pannier stays are easy to get on and off with the quick release system too.

The panniers may not be waterproof but the inside bags are. I think they look cool and fit the bike nicely.

Panniers

You shouldn't have to wait too long. Mine took a day short of two weeks to arrive from ordering.
Ordered panniers at the same time as bike 13 March 2015. 6 week wait for bike but no panniers. Dealer Streetbike Dudley, phoned me two days ago.Panniers have arrived and they will fit them when bikes in for 1st service next week. Was hoping that the heated grips would also be available. Told Mid June for them. Still the weather is better and its not that important at this time of year.

Glad you're all sorted.

I ordered mine from - GIVI Luggage Specialist

I ordered the heated grips two weeks ago and just hope they are here in time for my Euro trip in September.

Got mine today, picked them up at lunchtime and fitted them when I got home from work, simple job if you follow the insructions, takes about 45 mins

They finally arrived!
Were they worth the wait or money?

Erm...not really.

They look really good. Suits the bike well. The brackets are neat and easy to remove.
But they are stupidly impractical. Bit gutted a helmet won't fit. Couldn't get my jacket in either.
Would be nice if there was an aftermarket set that fit the brackets.
