Looking a fun commuting bike that suits my 6ft 1 frame. The mt-09 seems a great bike but is it suited to doing 44 miles a day(22 each way)? I would be doing roughly 15,000 a year on it. Would it cope for a couple of years with that mileage.

Why wouldn't it, 15,000 miles is nothing on a modern bike, surely for your commute the Honda NC750X would be a better choice as you will be getting nearly 70mpg!!!

Just make sure the engines getting nice and warm on cold days, mines done 12000 miles commuting and stopped running. Turns out every breather pipe on the bike was clogged with crap. Yamaha service didn't notice anything.thank god for Si at S-tec

Why not? Admittedly I have a tracer with Givi E21 side cases (nice and narrow for filtering) and a top box. But I'll pop up to our Leicester Office and back in a day (300 miles)

Oh...and you can come and join us Commuter Motorcycle Club too if you like (most relaxed forum on any and anything) [Moderators, I assume it's okay to mention another forum?]
