I had been and test ridden an MT-10 and the only reason it isn't in my garage now is the insurance wanted £700 with a £1750 excess. That's MCE insurance just to name and shame the thieving bastards. Needless to say I won't be buying the MT-10 until it's insurance renewal time.
It is painted yes. Just picked up the parts and first thing I checked was mudguard colour. I don't think it's painted just textured plastic with the colour in the plastic if you know what I mean.
I'm on my way to the dealers now for some prices.
I had hoped somebody on here may have a spare mirror at least as somebody may have removed theirs and fitted bar end mirrors. The front mud guard was always going to be a long shot though.
Thanks to a couple of rookie mistakes (dropped the bike inside my garage) I find I'm in need of a genuine left hand mirror and a front mudguard for my MT-09 so if you have either or both available please give me a shout before I call the dealer for a shock when they give me their price.
Thanks.
My 2013 MT-09 usually shows mid 50s on the computer but as I have used the fully app on my mobile since day 1 with this bike, I know the bike computer lies, usually over by 10%
So if the bike computer says 56mpg average the true figure will be 50-51 but it's still amazing considering how much...
It is suggested to replace them every time but as already said you don't need to unless they're damaged. I replaced mine when fitting the akra as I was buying new studs and nuts for one cylinder and the exhust was off for 3 weeks.
Check for leaks though after fitting to make sure.
Searched Ebay and wanted to share this if you haven't seen it yet. Bargain price for a K&N filter for the MT:

Only $999.99 + shipping plus another $239.95 import duty because of the mental listing price. Somebody...
Just took mine out for an hour after fitting the exhaust and I deliberately aimed for a few speed bumps and..... Nothing, no catching, scraping, grounding out, nothing.
I'm pleased as if it had damaged the Akra in any way I'd have been gutted for trying it on the first outing since I fitted it...
At last!
I got the 3 exhaust gaskets, 2 studs and 2 nuts from the Yam dealer in Folkestone (£28.55 thank you) and just got the system fitted today. I've only started it and warmed it up so far not ridden it but I already love the new sound - it's so much deeper, so much more aggressive...
I understand what you're saying Fluke but what I'm looking for in a second bike is something different enough from the MT to justify owning and running a second bike.
For example I don't want another naked, another triple, another hooligan bike, another bargain basement bike which has to have...

They're 3 reviews of the Suzuki from youtube channels I subscribe to and based on those I think it seems worth an hour or 2 out on a test ride of my own. What...
While at Alford Bros Yamaha Folestone yesterday I saw a new R1 in the flesh for the first time and I nearly did a little sex wee it's so dam sexy looking. It was in blue and had a rather superb akrapovic can or maybe the full system I'm not sure. If money was no object I'd have snapped it up on...
Looking forward to the results of that measurement. I've just got 2 studs, 2 nuts and 3 gaskets from the dealer and about to fit the system his weekend. The orIginal system is off and in storage already but I wish I'd taken the measurements before removing it.
Would be interesting to hear from owners riding with the akra titanium system fitted who are not suffering with any grounding out issues. I'm jinking maybe better off with the carbon racing line system that I had planned on fitting but which isn't road legal.
