I have an immaculate Akrapovic exhaust system for sale. The baffles are currently out, though i can put them back in. Please text during the day as i am at work, call after 5pm. Andy (herts) 07535 135310 : £650
I will add pics below, or can mail them over.
Baffle out is pretty loud. Its fun for half hour, then becomes a headache. Cut the inner baffles down. Nice sound without being too quiet / too loud. The picture is with cut-down baffles.
I drilled a 3mm hole, in the forward facing baffle tube ( when looked at from the side ). If you drill the innermost part if this individual baffle tube. Make a hook on one end of a 3mm piece of stainless rod and 90 bend on the opposite end. Hook the rod onto the baffle, pliars on the 90degree...
Just come off the phone to Yamaha Technical Department. I asked about the co adjustment. He confirmed, like your above description, on how to adjust it. Though he also said it ONLY adjusts the tickover settings. Not the complete rev-range. My bike is a tiny bit hesitant on acceleration, and he...
ITS LOUD lol. Kinda thinking its too loud without the baffles. I put them back in for a couple of days, and what a mission that was too. Can i get the ECU remapped to suit the system, or do i have to get a power commander. Or .. Is it ok as it is with a standard ecu. Cheers
My bargain Akrapovic exhaust, from fleebay, turned up today. So excited. I've removed the baffle and fitted the silencer bracket. It will be fully fitted on saturday morning. All ready fot the Yamaha Day at the Ace Cafe on sunday.
Just fitted a 12v panel supply. Its discreet, though maybe too much as i now need to find a way to extend power cables towards the dash. Its only for occational power to the iphone sat-nav. Oh yeah, and ease of pumping tyres.
The throttle was closed. I guess with winter gloves on, its harder to feel the button. At least im aware of the outcome. Im getting better with the horn button though :-)
Has anyone else had a cut out, and its their fault !
I pressed the mode button twice, to take it out of 'A' mode and back into 'STD'. I must have slipped a thumb on the kill switch as it cut out. Lucky I was in the inner lane of the M25. Only once I stopped did I work out what I had done...
Thanks. As long as i can have the lock protected, i will buy one. I like the yamaha one as you can use the mid section in autumn/winter to stop all the crap flinging up your back.
Who has a Yamaha tail tidy ? Do they come with a lock cover. R&G are great, but leave the seat removal lock expposed to road crap. Thanks in advance. Andy
