Another happy customer here. Only managed a short run up the freeway and some suburban streets after it was fitted this morning but wow what a difference!
Instantly noticeable how improved it is.
Thanks again, mate.
Yeah he's still riding the 990 every day! I love the thing, its a complete beast. He's offered me a ride but we've not managed to tee it up so far. He spoke extremely highly of you and your mods. I think the terms Jedi/Yoda was bandied about lol. I had a feeling you may have been the guy he'd...
G'day Kev,
I have a quick question on how this thing works. Not asking for trade secrets but before I attach something to my bike to trick the computer I like to know how it works.
Is it a static adjustment to the output of the O2 or is it a dynamic one which adjusts the offset based on the...
I don't mean lever setting. I've got FP racing levers and the adjuster on them doesn't move the actual pusher. Just the lever position.
Brake light comes on, but only after much more brake pressure than before. As I said in the OP I can stop from 60kph in a timely fashion without the brake...
Long story short - local dealer changed tyres on my 09 after I got a flat.
I get the bike back and notice they've moved my brake lever setting. During the ride home I notice it feels like the lever is engaging further out than usual.
Have also noticed that I can stop from 60kph with normal...
Yeah, that's true. I'd not be overly upset going Nitron. I'll have to see if the suspension guy can get them. And if not whether I can get it myself and have him fit it.
Half the issue I have is I've got no idea who makes better quality gear between Wilbers, Nitron and Penske in the remote res...
There's no local support for Penske stuff in Australia which is a big turn off. But they do seem to be about the only guys who put together a shock the right way around for the MT.
Hey guys,
Quick question for those with a Wilbers 641 or Nitron track shock or even the Matris:
Where does the preload collar sit? Under the tank or somewhere not stupid?
One of these is in my future but I don't want to 'need' to fork out for the hydraulic preload adjuster :P
Cheers
That's exactly the setup the local guy here has suggested for me. Do you mind if I ask how much you were charged all up?
Welcome to the forum! Lots of interesting things to learn around here :)
Is this the street box with the emulsion shock thing?
I'm kinda part interested but I'm tempted to go the Nitron route as a DIY and then pay someone to do the forks because they're a little too fiddly for my liking.
That's a very nice setup, Marthy.
The R6 spacers you mention. Are they spacers the R6 uses as stock for those calipers or are they aftermarket spacers to add bigger brakes to an R6?
I'm keep to put bigger rotors on the bike - mainly for aesthetics though. The little rotors look comically small...
Outstanding!
My boots get VERY slippery on the STD 09 pegs whenever they're damp. The Street Rally pegs you have look similar to the style that was on my Nuda 900R which were awesome.
Mine was being a little funny since the remap with starting needing two attempts and it just felt a little 'off' I didn't know how to describe it.
Then I remembered I'd done the CO adjustments before the reflash and wondered if the reflash had maintained them or not. Turns out they were still...
105kg before riding gear here. Suspension is pretty poor indeed in my case.
Plan is for a Wilbers 641 in the back and a set of Matris cartridges in the front. Once that's done this bike will be the best I've owned.
