I joined this forum because I did a search for Euro-4 details and then saw a post advising people to put their bikes on the centre stand, spin the back wheel by putting the bike into gear and applying the brake to see if the front brake lever also affected the back brake.
Murphies law kicked in...
After many years (8) of not having a road bike. I finally got back on the saddle with a new 2017 MT09.
I have been riding enduro bikes since my last road for my two wheel fix, but must say very impressed with the new MT09. Picture is my son on my bike
Hi guys .
Just tightened my chain to manufactures instructions. I have seen a few posts about chain tensioners deforming when tightening rear wheel . I've had three attempts now , and each time the left hand side task turned slightly after I tighten wheel nut . Some of my other bikes have had...
Trawling through Ebay looking for stuff to buy, and came across this

When replacing your front wheel on your ABS MT after its been away for a new tyre fitted:
DO NOT think you have lost a wheel spacer.
DO NOT rush indoors, fire up the laptop to look at the NON ABS wheel diagram. (It has two spacers).
DO NOT go back out to the garage swearing and waste half an...
I noticed something strange:
When the bike standing on the centerstand, rear wheel in the air, motor running in idle, in 1st gear,
I pull the clutch lever al the way, but the rear whell keeps turning slowly.
I tried to adjust the clutch free-play to minimum and tightened the lever-adjusting-bolt...
Hi All,
During my detailing and general get ready for winter service I have come across an issue which I have experienced before.
Examination of the rear wheel spacers I noticed that the seals had started to create a groove in the spacer, This occurs when road dirt and grime gets into the...
After hitting a piece of 4" x 4" fence post that some nice lorry driver dropped right in front of me on the motorway, I am now in need of a new front wheel. Can anyone suggest where the best place to get one is please? Fowlups have quoted me a shade over £500. Does that sound about right or what?
Hi all,
First post with a silly questions I can't find an answer to all over the internet. I hope someone can help! ;)
It's time to replace the cheese tyre that came with the bike. The manual states that wheel removal should only be carried out by dealers on the ABS models. I can't get my...
i have done about 2000 miles now but as soon as i hit about 1600 i had two occasions where the engine would stall for no reason. took it to the dealer and they didn't have a clue.
first time i was riding up my road, started slowing down from 30/35mph to pull on to my drive, went from 3rd to 2nd...
Is this occurring, as it does on the MT-09?
I refer to the case, where you have the bike out in the rain, and the spray from the rear wheel ends up and giving you a very wet experience on your bum! :-)
Is that sorted with the bigger rear of the Tracer?
Hey Guys,
I would really like to turn off the ABS on the rear wheel, I personally just like sliding around supermoto style a bit. Do you think it is possible?
will they be covered by the warranty ?
I'm not a mechanic but it definitely feels like wheel bearing movement and a mechanic mate is going to check them later today.
bike is 7 months old and done 8,500 miles
Anyone got the oem rim stickers?
I've tried Wheel Rim Tape Reflective - Jesters Trick Bits Limited but with not much success-very difficult to get them sticking down flat against the side of the rim as they are supplied on a roll.
I think the Yamaha trims come in 4 sections for each side of the...
Just interested to hear how you folks clean the rear wheel.
I tend to use a bit of petrol then polish off with Autoglym which brings the wheel up fine.
Cheers
Tony
Just got back from my first proper ride since sorting out Martine. The first thing that amazed me was how heavy the standard exhaust system was. Feels like it was milled out of lead compared to the new system.
I got the new system of Triple Trouble who was letting it go to so he could try the...
