hello everyone , hope youre all well ? well i had a 14 plate and a 16 plate and on tuesday i pick up a 18 plate mt09 , in yamaha blue , 180 mile on the clock , ive had a couple of years on an fz1 gen 2 , my commute distance has dropped a huge amount , so thought id pop back to an mt for a spot...
afternoon all , finally got round to slinging on the 43t rear , only a short ride carried out , she still goes like stink , shes smoother , easier on the twisties , better mpg from the lower revs on cruising , lovely
Had a spare half hour , so bit the bullet n cut the pipe , had to cut the original hanger off and using a temp hanger , a steel tube joiner , it's nearly done , if all works out OK on the road , I'll get a stainless tube on there and weld it up to remove the temp joiner n clamps
Hello everyone , she's now past 600 miles , and I feel I can now say that the new Yamaha map feels much softer / tamer than my original bike . No throttle tamer required either . The standard exhaust is very restrictive , the high level akrapovic with baffle definatly lets her breath more easy ...
dudes , i have been looking at the 2 systems akra supply , am i correct in saying , the downpies are the same , the exhaust itself is the same , except for the end cap ? the lower level version has the end cap which is larger to house the baffle and the high level system , which has a smaller...
dudes , how are ya all , flogged my mt09 last year , end of . carried on the fz1n then onto an R1 , the R1 is an amazing bike , but i`m buggered if i can comutte on it , i did try , but alas i`m a failure . so today , one popped into ones local and did the deal on a brand new matte grey abs ...
well after enjoying last weeks use of a lovely R1 , i was convinced i must have one . yet , tonight , with a new rear bridgestone , softened suspension , i had a brilliant time whizzing around norfolk , trying to avoid all the road chip crap they seem to putting everywhere, you know the stuff ...
after 3 n a bit years commuting on the fz8 , and then picking up the mt09 last year , the suspension bounce didn`t bother me much cos the fz8 was always super soft , so following a 600 mile week commute on the fz1 , i used the mt09 on the same roads , and bugger me , you lot were right , the...
gonna try one of them tracers this week on demo , pick it up tomorrow afternoon , and we have lots of lovely rain forecast , its the new map and traction control that i am interested in , so looks like lots of wet riding followed by a chilly early morning blast tuesday , perfect
dudes , rode many many bikes , but the MT with no stupid limiters is the most unstable bike i`ve ever ridden , what a frigging laff i had , have fun but pick ya spot , luckily my local airfield is wide , the MT needs it all :) will do my best to get her back to track electronics for a final...
bonjour everyone , hope you all jolly happy . well last week the clutch went up the spout on my commuter FZ8 , so dragged out the MT kicking and screaming , well after a few muddy commutes , i`ve remembered to book her in to track electronics to have that stupid speed limiter switched off and...
dudes , travelling home in the dark last night , as ya do . came across several ton of mud , a nice layer over the entire road for several hundred yards , my poor MT looked terrible , I love my pressure washer , gits . thought I had a puncture to start with , nearly an arse over tit time . must...
evening all , due to a traffic collision , traffic was queued for mile upon mile as i took it easy with the filtering and the overtaking of the stationary traffic , within 100 yards of passing the incident , a stationary car waiting the other way decides to let out a waiting 4x4 , you know the...
I have just rung the lovely chap at track electronics , they have re-worked the fueling , lean at the bottom , rich at the top ( I now have more power ) . they have found that the throttle has a restrictor , as well as the top end cut off , the bike is doing 122mph , but showing 137 on the clock...
Dudes have fitted my new exhaust n DNA filter tonight :) sounds soooo sweet , couple of things noticed , the standard system is rather heavy , my headers and lambada sensor were very black , maybe indicating a rich mixture ? The air box had a damp area inside ( petrol ) . I only got out for one...
